How to get the perfectly balanced 'Face'

So do you treat all of these areas at once or only as needed?

Dr. Tim Brown believes that it is important for the patients to decide that on their own, since most procedures just change one part of the face.  The ultimate goal is a balanced result.  An example of this is if you just address the eyes and not other ageing changes around the eyes, it can look quite unusual.  At the end of the day, there is no wrong or right way to do it.  Some patients do not want a dramatic change, some cannot afford to do it all at once, however there is an advantage of doing it all together: It results in all areas of the face look like they are in harmony and naturally aged.

Some areas are best addressed together such as  the neck and jowls.  When you sit down with Dr. Tim Brown, it is important to discuss the specific areas  that are bothering you most so you can devise a rejuvenation plan that best addresses your primary concerns.

"I want a tight tummy" - Liposuction vs. a Tummy tuck

For women, the stomach area can be one of the hardest parts of the body to get in shape, mainly because of constant weight fluctuation.  Water retention, bloating, years of dieting and the ageing process, as well as multiple pregnancies and the fact that the area stores fat are all contributing factors that leave what was once firm and smooth, lumpy and crepey in texture.

If you need just a little bit of help getting your stomach flat and flab-free, Dr. Tim Brown may recommend liposuction instead of a tummy tuck, especially if you have excess fat but not the excess skin that needs to be removed or stretched out muscle that needs to be tightened.

It's best to consult with Dr. Tim Brown to determine if you're an ideal candidate for liposuction to the abdominal area.  Unlike a tummy tuck, liposuction to the stomach and surrounding areas involves a much shorter recovery period; however it will not tighten up loose skin like a tummy tuck can.

Youthful Eyes

The brow, upper eyelid and lower eyelid all age in unison.  Regardless of ethnicity the outer corner of the eyes drop down,  the upper lids become deflated and droop, and bags form under the lower lids.

Eyelid surgery, also known as Blepharoplasty, can be used to correct all of these skin, fat and muscle changes caused by the ageing process, as well as inherited problems like prominent bags or excess skin.  The actual techniques used (whether addressing the skin, muscle and/or fat are based on your particular issues).  While upper lid incisions are placed inside the eyelid crease, lower lid incisions can be placed inside the eyelid or along the lash line - but all incisions are nearly undetectable once healed.
